Solar field pile shakeout is repetitive work, and precise pile placement is vital on these expansive job sites. Typically, the process requires that crews operate skid steers or telehandlers to move pile bundles where they’re needed on the solar field. This is time-consuming, challenging, labour-intensive work that must be done accurately for ground-mount, utility scale solar farms. A new innovation from Vermeer reduces the time, equipment, and labour needed for solar field pile shakeout.
