    G’day everyone.

Compact excavators are reliable workhorses, but they can run into issues without proper maintenance.

Here are 5 frequent problems and simple prevention tips:

    1. Hydraulic oil leaks Check hoses and seals regularly. Replace worn parts early to avoid leaks.
    2. Engine overheating Keep the radiator clean from dust and debris, especially in dusty farm or construction sites.
    3. Track wear & derailment Maintain proper track tension and inspect rollers/sprockets often.
    4. Battery failure Clean terminals and avoid leaving the machine idle for long periods.
    5. Pin & bushing wear Grease pivot points daily to reduce friction and extend service life.

Regular inspection and lubrication will keep your mini excavator running smoothly and cut downtime.

Feel free to share what maintenance issues you’ve encountered. Cheers

Great tips! Track derailment and engine overheating are the two problems I watch out for the most on my mini excavator. Daily inspection makes all the difference.

This is really informative! I’m looking to buy my first compact excavator for farm work. It’s good to know these common issues ahead of time. Is there any difference in maintenance between different brands?
