I’m starting a side business hauling compact equipment like skid steers, mini excavators, and rollers. I’ve got a diesel truck and a gooseneck trailer, but I’m new to the hauling world. What are the absolute basics I need to know before my first job? Things like weight distribution, braking techniques, and pre-trip inspections. Also, how do you handle loading on uneven ground?
