Choosing the right attachments can make a mini excavator much more versatile.

    Here are five practical options:

    1. Bucket
Essential for digging, trenching, backfilling, and cleanup.
    2. Hydraulic Breaker
Great for breaking concrete, brick, pavement, and small rocks.
    3. Hydraulic Thumb
Makes it easier to grab and move logs, rocks, branches, and debris.
    4. Trenching Bucket
Ideal for digging narrow trenches for pipes, cables, drainage, and irrigation.
    5. Ditch Cleaning Bucket
Useful for ditch cleaning, grading, slope work, and site finishing.

If I could choose only three: Bucket + Hydraulic Breaker + Hydraulic Thumb.

Which attachment do you use the most?

I’ve been looking into the Shanding SD18 mini excavator. Are the controls hydraulic joysticks?

If I buy one of your excavators, do you throw in any attachments? How many?

I’m preparing to buy mini excavators for rental. Wondering if the hydraulic thumb is worth the extra cost.
