Mini excavators use a hydraulic system to transmit power.
It converts mechanical energy from the engine into hydraulic energy, then back into mechanical energy to drive working components.
Main components: hydraulic pump, control valves, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors and hydraulic oil.
- The engine drives the hydraulic pump, which draws oil and builds pressure.
- When you move control levers, the multi-way valve opens the corresponding oil path, sending high-pressure oil to cylinders or motors.
- High-pressure oil pushes the cylinder piston rods to extend and retract, operating boom, arm and bucket. Hydraulic motors drive the tracks for travel.
- After operation, oil flows back to the tank to complete the cycle.
A relief valve protects the system.
It releases pressure automatically when exceeding the limit, avoiding overload damage.
Simply put, hydraulics deliver powerful force with light control input, which makes mini excavators flexible and efficient.
